Review: Rimmel lipsticks by Kate Moss

Hello guys!

My ultimate favourite lipsticks are probably the ones from Rimmel by Kate Moss. I love them so much that I have bought 3 of them (which I normally don’t do). The packaging is gorgeous and quite simple. In the Netherland they are €9.99 (Dutch make-up is really expensive) and in England they are £5.49.

The colours I have are 03, 107, and 111. I think 03 was from the first range, which was a bit creamier and smells really sweet.

03 is a lovely nude colour. I find buying nudes a bit tricky, as I don’t want it to by to similar to my skin colour, but this one is perfect. 111 is a bright red and 107 is a darker red/berry shade. Both of these colours have a matt finish.

The consistency of 03 is very creamy and feels quite moisturizing. 107 and 111 have a more matt finish and they do not move. Even if I put it on in the morning it will still look reasonable in the evening. If I eat a lot or drink a lot during the day I might have to touch up a little, but they are extremely long-lasting (even with soap I hardly got them of my hand after doing the swatches). 03 doesn’t last that long on my, but that’s probably because I’m not as careful while wearing it and I don’t mind putting it on a few times a day.

As I already said I love these lipsticks so much! Tell me what you think of the Kate Moss lipsticks :)

Hugs and kisses

The things I keep repurchasing

Hey guys!

I always like to try new products and that’s why I don’t buy a lot of products multiple times. But there are a few things I just love so much, no other product can beat them. So without further ado, here are 3 products that I will probably always keep using

True match foundation by l’oreal Paris in R1C1
foundation can be very tricky for me. My skin is very light and even the lightest shades of foundation are often to dark for me. The true match foundation’s lightest colour is a great match for my skin. I still like to try new foundations, but I’ve never found one that is right for my complexion.

Maybelline Mascara The Falsies Black Drama
This is seriously the best mascara I have ever used! I always get the one that isn’t waterproof and is extra black. You’ve probably heard all the blogger rave about this product, so definitely try it.

GUHL Colorshine Blond shampoo and conditioner
I’ve been using this shampoo and conditioner for the majority of the last 4 years and I still love it. They did change it, because it used to be with Camille and now it’s with champagne berries, but it’s still great. It hydrates my hair and keeps my blond hair nice and shiny. I’ve never tried the deep repair mask from the same line, but I’m definitely going to.

Do you have any products you just can’t help but repurchase? Or do you have any product you would like me to try? Leave a comment!

Kisses and hugs

My collections

Hello guys!

In the last year I have started collecting quite a few things. I don’t really know why, but I like the idea of having a ever growing collection. Today I’d like to share these things with you.

1, 2 and 5 eurocents.

This might sound very random, but I collect coins. Basically all the coins I collect are copper, so that are the 1, 2 and 5 eurocent coins. Right now I keep them is this cute jar combo (which I made), but hopefully I’ll have enough to fill a large vase someday.

John Green books

This isn’t really a collection, I just really like all John Green books. I have all of them except ‘Let it Snow’ and with all these books I pretty much cried from the first until the last page. Definitely recommending them!

Snow Globes

This is a collection I started last year, when me and my friends went on holiday to Rome. I buy a snow globe everywhere I go on holiday (and sometimes just if I find a pretty one). Right now my collection consist of:

-       The Colosseum, which I obviously bought in Rome
-       The Colossus of Rhodes, I never actually went to Rhodes, but one of my bestfriends bought this for me as a souvenir.
-       Pictures of my friends, which they gave me for my birthday.
-       A deer, which I bought at Christmas time last year, just because it’s so pretty and Christmas is my favourite time of the year.
-       Fuerteventura, this year me and my friends went on holiday to Fuerteventura.

Records

I’ve always liked older music, because my  parents played it during long car trips and late family evenings. Recently I bought this adorable record player and a few records.

I don’t have that many yet, but I like the endless roaming through boxes filled with second hand records. The second hand bargains I got my hands on are: ‘Grease: the original soundtrack’, ‘Michael Jackson: Thriller’, ‘Simon and Garfunkel’s greatest hits’, ‘A-ha: Hunting high and low’, ‘The legend of Tina Turner’ and ‘Saturday night fever: The original movie sound track’.

I also have some brand new ones: ‘Nirvana: Unplugged in New York’, ‘Wouter Hamel: Lohengrin’ and ‘Mumford & sons: Babel’. My favourite out of all my records is definitely the one from Nirvana. As you can probably see my taste is kind of all over the place.

Those were all my current collections. Do you collect anything? Do you have a request blog post? Or do you just want to share your opinion? Leave a comment!

Hugs and kisses

Review: Catrice cosmetics eyebrow set

Hello guys!

My name is Karen and this is my first blog post. I'll be blogging about fashion, beauty products and basically whatever is on my mind. What better way to start my blog than by doing a review.

One of the products I’ve been loving the past few weeks is my eyebrow set by Catrice cosmetics. I’m not sure if this brand is available in every country, but it’s very cheap and for people my age that’s usually a big plus. This Eyebrow set was €3,99, what is about the same as £3,39.

I like the packaging of the product, because it’s simple. It’s a little box with a top compartment which contains two colours of pressed powder. In the bottom there’s a little drawer with tweezers and a little angled brush and a shaping brush. The tweezers are a little small, but they still work just fine. I don’t really like the angled brush because it’s very stiff and again super small. I usually just use my own brush so it’s not that big of a problem.

The colours are very nice. I always use the lighter one to fill in my eyebrows, because my hair is very blonde itself and I don’t want my eyebrows to be too dark during the day. If I’m going out or going for a stronger eyebrowlook I use the darker colour on the outer corners of my eyebrows.
The colours are very pigmented and the consistency is quite nice, even though a lot of powder  gets off the palette with only one swipe of your brush.

I think the powder makes my eyebrows look very natural, but still very neat. You can buy it on http://www.catrice.eu/en/products/eyes/eyebrows/detail/product/eye-brow-set-010.html.
I hope you liked it! If you have anything you would like to see me review or write or if you have any questions, just leave a comment.

Kisses and hugs,

Karen
